If you’ve been to a Charlotte brewery lately, you’ve probably seen a bunch of yogis stretching it out in the taproom. Or maybe you’ve seen a group of runners cooling down with a cold beer. No matter the workout, it’s no secret Charlotteans love beer fitness.
With over 85 recurring weekly classes, it’s so easy to get a complete workout each week. The best part is you don’t even have to travel far from your own Charlotte neighborhood to do it. No matter which ‘hood you’re repping, there are plenty of options to try a different brewery fitness class every day of the week.
We’ve already shown you how you can get a comlpete workout each week in South End and NoDa. Next, we’re showing you how you can get a complete week of workouts at breweries and restaurants in (and around) Plaza Midwood.
Whether you’re a runner or a yogi or somewhere in between, check out your brewery fitness options (almost) every day of the week.

Saturday: USNWC Yoga Series
Okay, we know this isn’t remotely close to Plaza Midwood, but hear us out. There are no regular brewery fitness classes in Plaza Midwood on Saturday, so why not try something new! With summer right around the corner, it’s perfect time to take your yoga practice to the great outdoors. The U.S. National Whitewater Center offers nine different yoga classes each week, including two on Saturday mornings, for FREE. We promise it’s worth the drive.
Sunday: Legion Brewing Yoga
Where: 1906 Commonwealth Ave. Charlotte, NC 28205
Cost: $7.5 gets you the class and a pint of Legion’s delicious beer
Instructor: This class is taught by Luis, a bartender at Legion and a yoga instructor at Yoga One, Core Power Yoga, and Charlotte Yoga.
Vibe: This is an all-levels flow, so whether you’re a beginner or a seasoned yogi, it will work for you! Luis offer modifications to increase or decrease the difficulty of a pose to fit your needs.
Anything Else? Legion has fans turned on when it’s hot, which makes a HUGE difference in the summer! Know that this space is pretty small, so you should get there early to claim a spot.
