Did someone steal that from a Myrtle Beach miniature golf course? And why is it so much angrier than my buddy Homer the Dragon?

The Knights unveiled the 18-foot dragon statue before their game on April 17. The dragon breathes smoke after Knights’ home runs and wins. (Knights staff wouldn’t disclose the cost of the statue when asked by a reporter.)

I guess they were going for something along the lines of the “Hit Bull Win Steak” sign in Durham?

The team wants fans to help name the dragon. Tweet suggestions with the hashtag #HomeRunDragon or go to CharlotteKnights.com to vote.

Go see the dragon in person. The Knights’ next home game is today at 11:05 a.m. against Toledo. (Day baseball!)
