The promising advancement of virtual care is altering healthcare access and delivery. After years of a need for convenience and access, virtual care may finally be thrust into motion. Technological innovations and the continuous effort to lessen the cost of healthcare have pulled healthcare into this new era.
Atrium Health is pioneering new approaches to virtual care for patients, through 24/7 Virtual Visits and online eVisits. These platforms allow you to access virtual care whether you are working, traveling or are busy participating in other areas of your life.
eVisits are available to you anytime, day or night. eVisits are an easy, affordable option that allow patients to connect with a healthcare provider online, whenever care is needed. They are a treatment option offered exclusively to Atrium Health patients.
eVisits are an ideal choice for moderately minor cases that still require medical attention. Some commonly treated conditions to consider using an eVisit for are a colds, coughs, sore throats, seasonal allergies, sinus and upper respiratory issues, flu-like symptoms and urinary tract infections.
Accessing an eVisit is a seamless process. You need Internet access and to sign up as a MyAtrium Health member, which is available to Atrium Health patients. You will then complete a questionnaire about your symptoms. Atrium Health will send a treatment plan in approximately two hours.
Virtual Visits are also available 24/7. Atrium Health Virtual Visits provides live access to a provider through a camera-enabled tablet, smart phone or computer. These visits do not require an appointment and are $49 per visit. Prescriptions can also be given through Virtual Visits.
Virtual Visits are a perfect option for patients with commonly treated conditions like colds, coughs, sore throats, pink eye, minor skin issues, seasonal allergies, minor skin issues, urinary tract infections and lower back pain.
You can get access by signing up as a Virtual Visit member. You will then share your reason for the visit. Following this, you will be directly connected to a provider.
