On Thursday, Friday and Saturday night, New Orleans native Matt Lemmler reimagines the sounds of the iconic Stevie Wonder. Catch this stellar show in one of the most unique music venues in Charlotte — The Jazz Room in Uptown.

Music from the great Stevie Wonder touches every generation, from Z to Boomers. He recorded his first number-one hit at age 11 and has gone on to have more than 30 Top 10 hits including, “You are the Sunshine of My Life”, “Isn’t She Lovely?”, “I Just Called To Say I Love You”, “Part-Time Lover” and others.

He is the recipient of 25 Grammys and was awarded the Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award in 1996. The singer with the big voice and dark glasses was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1989. Come hear your favorite chart-toppers as well as a few from the way-back machine.

New Orleans native comes to Charlotte

The music of Stevie Wonder has been creatively entrusted to the voice, fingers and talent of Matt Lemmler and friends. Lemmler was born and raised in The Big Easy, blocks away from legendary pianist and vocalist Fats Domino. He toured with Andrew Lloyd Weber’s The Phantom of the Opera before coming back to New Orleans to sharpen his skills with some of the best bandleaders in the business.

Lemmler’s been thrilling audiences with his expertly mixed sounds of Wonder with a jazzy flair in his hometown and is excited to bring it to the Queen City. His show features a large group of local musicians, multiple vocalists, classic reimagined Stevie Wonder favorites and a few surprises along the way.
