This post is brought to you in partnership with the City of Charlotte. All opinions are our own.
October is the month for pumpkins, candy and all things warm, spiced and frothy. It is also the month for Meet & Eat CLTMECKGOV, your chance to meet, greet, offer feedback and be part of your local community!
No tricks here, only treats and the opportunity to share your view of the city. At the Meet & Eat events you’ll have the opportunity to take a survey that will inform the 2020 city budget. You live, work and play in the Queen City and offer a unique perspective on what it would take to make Charlotte the best city on the planet.
Five Meet & Eat events are left this month! Break out the calendar and make it a date with the city and county. Be sure to RSVP so they will have enough food for everyone.
- October 11: Sugaw Creek Rec Center, 943 W. Sugar Creek Road, 28213
- October 18: Elon Rec Center, 11401 Ardrey Kell Road, 28277
- October 23: Charlotte Innovation Barn, 932 Seigle Avenue, 28205, (Park at 1105 Otts Street)
- October 25: Ivory Baker Rec Center, 1920 Stroud Park Court, 28206
While you are munching on delicious FREE food, take time to network with peeps from the City of Charlotte and Mecklenburg County, department directors and City and County executive leadership. Learn about city and county resources, the upcoming tax assessment, Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools, the recycling program, economic development, plans for the greenway and so much more.
There are also things to do for the whole family including performances by community organizations, blood pressure screenings, A1C3 testing, the opportunity to register for county services and entertainment for the kids from Park and Recreation to ensure everyone has a fun time.
Make October the month you Meet & Eat with the city and county.
