We all love a great option to fulfill our taco Tuesday — well, taco any day — needs. Sabor Latin Street Grill conveniently has 12 locations across the Charlotte area, and it will soon open its latest in Mooresville.
The fast-casual Latin street food king heard customer’s pleas to open more locations, and the chain is delivering. This announcement comes just after news of a University City location coming later this year to the Lynx station, which will make restaurant No. 14.
“Mooresville is one of the locations that we’ve been looking at for a while,” said Dalton Espaillat, CEO of Raydal Hospitality, the ownership group behind Sabor Latin Street Grill. “With our Huntersville and Davidson locations doing so well, we wanted to continue to expand down I-77. We had a ton of requests to open in that area.”
This latest spot will bring one of the largest dining rooms that the franchise has seen. What makes it even better is that the previous restaurant that occupied the space left behind its beer taps — so Sabor plans to take advantage of that.
“We are going to have a self-pour beer system featuring 12 beers on tap. The plan is to offer some of the favorites from the Mooresville area in addition to the Charlotte staples, and selections from Salud Cerveceria, which is owned by my brother-in-law.”
As far as the menu goes, it will be consistent with every other location. Expect to get fan favorites like house-made empanadas, gorditas, arepas, salsas, nachos and tacos.
If you have ever been to a Sabor location, you know that each are filled with dope art and murals. Mooresville’s restaurant will feature murals that are relative to the area. So look out for things inspired by NASCAR on the walls, since the area is known to be “race country.” The management is aiming for a late August opening.
