Pinhouse, a two-story, self-serve taproom, is opening at 2306 Central Ave. in Plaza Midwood in late February or early March of 2019. Rich Moyer and Drew Nesemeier, the owners of Charlotte’s first self-serve craft beer and wine taproom Hoppin’, are behind the opening. And they are bringing the same PourIt dispense technology found in Hoppin’ to the new 6,036-square-foot Plaza Midwood space.
This taproom will be completely different from the Hoppin’ vibe in South End, Moyer said.
He added: “Since owning Two Scoops (in Plaza Midwood), I understand there are differences in South End and Plaza Midwood, and we want to do our best to cater to the Plaza Midwood demographics.”
Inside, there will be 70 total taps offering beer, ciders, wine, Prosecco and rosé; there will also be free orange juice and cranberry juice to make mimosas. Interior furniture will include high tops and lounge seating. For those looking for an activity, Pinhouse will also have four Duckpin bowling lanes.
An outdoor beer truck will have the iPourIt dispense technology so patrons are able to get their choice of alcohol without even having to come inside. Food trucks will also be operating outside.
Roll up doors and large windows will cater to an enjoyable indoor-outdoor atmosphere. A back deck, putting green and TVs will occupy the outside property of Pinhouse. Live music will take place on the outside deck and inside the taproom on the second floor.
There will be opportunities to host parties and corporate events at Pinhouse. Christmas party 2019? Yes, please.
