This post is brought to you in partnership with Uptown Charlotte Parks.  All opinions are our own.

If you have any free time in your calendar this August, you have to check out these hot bands in some of Charlotte’s coolest parks—for free!

Once you’ve had a cold beverage (adult or not), some food truck fare and a few hours with these talented musicians, you will almost forget that summer’s coming to an end.

Get your friends, S.O. or family together and make your way to these Uptown parks to jam out together as you say “so long” to summer.

Gerald Veasley will keep the chill vibes going with smooth tunes from his six string bass and awesome sense of style. Gerald is not a one trick pony! In addition to rocking the contemporary music world as a bassist, he’s also a bandleader, composer, producer, educator and curator.
