You’ve announced your engagement, come up with a rough estimate for guest count and now nailing down a venue is next on your to-do list.
To make choosing from the dozens of gorgeous Charlotte-area venues easier, Lindsey Davis, member relations and marketing director for NorthStone Country Club, shares her expertise on why a country club is the perfect spot.
Many country clubs are equipped to handle it all.
When it comes to planning weddings, there are a lot of moving pieces – and checks to write – and consolidating as much as possible will lift a huge weight off your shoulders.
Davis says when couples opt to have their wedding at NorthStone, they pay a flat, per-person price for food and alcohol, typically in the $85-$95 range, which includes a “cocktail hour with hors d’oeuvres, raw bar, plated dinner, open bar and a champagne toast.”
And having one main vendor helps cut costs.
“Most venues charge a rental fee which can end up taking up a huge chunk of your budget,” Davis says. “We only charge a set-up fee which includes staffing, setup, breakdown, cake cutting, bartender fee, chiavari chairs, dance floor and basic table setting.”
Having to hire different vendors for each of those tasks or items can be costly. Davis also says NorthStone only books one wedding per day, which means the venue is yours all day at no additional cost.
On your wedding day, you’ll only have to worry about getting married.
Once you’ve finalized the details, execution is up the on-site coordinator.
“Our onsite wedding coordinator will take care of everything for your special day – ceremony, reception, rehearsal and set up!” Davis says.
The food will be absolute perfection – and custom made for you.
Country clubs are used to hosting food-driven events and/or have a restaurant on site, which means your menu options will be delicious.
At NorthStone, the award-winning chef is able to create custom menus, and Davis says guests always leave talking about how good the food was.
You have indoor and outdoor options, and rolling golf course greens make a beautiful backdrop for photos.
“At NorthStone you can experience a wide variety of backgrounds for your special day,” Davis says. “Our wedding garden is in a beautiful wooded area, and our greenside overlooks holes 9 and 18.”
NorthStone also has two stunning outdoor ceremony options and a ballroom that can host up 230 guests.
