If you haven’t heard of the Plaza Shamrock neighborhood, Cassee Cunningham of Savvy + Co. Real Estate is about to let you in on one of the best kept secrets in Charlotte. This neighborhood offers affordable, adorable homes and interesting people – all among mature trees in a fantastic location. We sat down with Cassee and she dished about this up and coming area you might want to call home.
C5: Where is the Plaza Shamrock neighborhood located?
Cassee: The Plaza Shamrock neighborhood is bordered by The Plaza, East Sugar Creek Road, Eastway Road and Shamrock Drive. It is nestled right in the heart of NoDa, Plaza Midwood and Country Club Heights.
C5: Why did you decide to move here?
Cassee: That’s easy. It’s walkable, runable and bikeable with nearby entertainment venues and plenty of places to eat. Plus I’m gaining value in my home which is important to me. However, my neighbors are the best part.
C5: Tell me more about these neighbors.
Cassee: I was hoping you’d ask. Some of Charlotte’s best artists, entrepreneurs and designers call Plaza Shamrock home including Jimmy and Louisa Kleto, owners of Central Coffee; Ashley Jimenez, owner and lead designer of Ashley J Design; Brian and Lisa Moore, owners of The Bodega in NODA and Sharon Dowell and Nico Amortegui who are well known artist in Charlotte. I could go on and on…
C5: Ok, you’ve piqued my interest. What types of housing choices does this area offer?
Cassee: There are several styles in this neighborhood. If you are into fixer-uppers, you can find a real bargain and make it completely your own. There are also ranch-style and Cape Cod homes on large lots with mature trees. This area has a host of great opportunities for first time homebuyers or those who are ready to put down roots in a fantastic community.
