We all could use a little shake up from the ho-hum. Enter Alyssa Roccanti. She’s is all about putting the zazz in pizazz. She’s a real estate agent with Savvy + Co. Real Estate, and says you don’t have to go very far to have an out of the ordinary adventure. She has her fingers on the pulse of Lake Norman and we talked her into sharing her favorite spots around the shores of Charlotte’s favorite lake. From cheap eats and small plates to wine or a romantic night to remember, Alyssa has you covered.

Wine and food tasting

Friday and Saturday beg for food and wine. Alyssa recommends the popular wine and food tasting at Lake Norman Cottage. For $25 per person, you’ll start the evening with light appetizers and move onto a meal – all the while enjoy sipping some vino. Tastings begin at 6:30 p.m. and reservations are encouraged. Make your date night a wow-night or get the band back together and enjoy something new and different.

Live music by the lake

North Harbor Club in Davidson is the perfect place to get your mid-week “why isn’t it Friday yet” on. Enjoy live music by the lake Tuesday and Wednesday evenings at 6:30 p.m. and be sure to stay for dinner or dessert. If you come by boat, slips are waiting for you and your vessel. If you don’t have a boat, you can come here and mingle with people who do have boats. Reservations for dinner are encouraged.

Cheap Antojitos menu in Mooresville

Antojitos means “craving” in modern Mexican cuisine and to Alyssa it just means delicious. Hit the Prickly Pear from 4-6 p.m. or after 9 p.m. and try to decide between the goodies on this diverse early eats menu. Try the $7 Huarache (corn masa flatbread, refried black beans, filet mignon, arugula, manchego, chile toreado), $6 Aguachile (shrimp, avocado mousse, cilantro, tomato, cucumber, red onion, lime juice, $4 Tacos de Asada (two mini tacos, adobo steak, cilantro, onion, salsa verde) or any other delectable treats and you’ll be speaking Antojitos all evening.

Nice dinner with a lake view

We can think of no better place to fill up our stomaches and please our senses than a night at the Port City Club. With 13,500 square feet of beautiful indoor space with stunning views, this your next celebratory, congratulations or “hey I think I really like you” spot for a memorable dinner.

Spend a day at the beach

What’s better than a day at the beach that didn’t take four hours in the car? Not much in our book and that’s one of the many reasons why Alyssa and LKN dwellers love Ramsey Park. Besides soaking up the sun or playing in the water in the beach area, you can show off your moves on the volleyball court or send the kids to the playground to burn off some energy. Fido can make new friends at the dog park and enjoy the 1.5 miles of trails. This park really has it all!
