JOB SUMMARY: The Behavioral Health Counselor’s primary role will be to work in conjunction with the health care delivery system of the community health center to develop a plan of care aimed at maintaining or improving the patient’s physical and mental health. This position requires the ability to develop and implement treatment plans and goals and to provide cognitive behavioral therapy. Quality interaction with Federal, State and local entities is required in order to maximize resources.
HOURS: 8:00 – 5:00, Monday – Friday
SKILLS/EDUCATION: A Master’s Degree in Social Work and licensed at the LMSW or LISW level is required. Experience in an integrated medical setting providing mental health services preferred.
