It’s November! Are you ready for family, food, holiday traditions, over-the-top decorations and cool weather? What about numerous trips to the grocery store, perpetually cleaning and juggling your social engagement calendar?

Before holiday craziness kicks into full over the top gear, give yourself the gift of a chill night out at The Jazz Room. Start with an original performance by Emily Braden on Thursday, November 15, then keep the good times rolling November 16 and 17 when Charles Craig Sr. plays tribute to Erroll Garner.

Here’s how three nights at The Jazz Room will get you pumped for holiday madness.

Emily Braden

If you think creative, original music is difficult to come by in the Queen City, a night with Emily Braden at The Jazz Room will change your mind. This high-energy, no holds barred jazz crooner is described as a “big, bad beauty from Boise Idaho.”

Her striking presence will whip your Thursday night into shape and get you humming into the weekend. She’s jammed solo and with bands and trios around the world. Here is a glimpse of how this vocal powerhouse is going to bring it.

Charles Craig

Similar to reheated holiday meals crafted into casseroles, The Jazz Room doesn’t often repeat a featured artist is the same season. However, they had to make an exception with Charles Craig Sr. (and you’ll be glad they did). Last month he blew the crowd away with music from Westside Story and on November 16 and 17 he’s back performing pieces from jazz pianist, composer, hall of fame artist and recording star Erroll Garner.

Sit back, relax, take a breath and tap your toes as Craig and his trio entertain the crowd with Garner’s top hits including “Misty.” Craig is the son of preacher born in Norfolk, VA and raised in Chicago. He attend the Berklee College of Music in Boston and has tickled the ivories with many of the world’s top jazz musicians. Don’t miss your opportunity to see him live.

Enjoy an affordable night out

You know extra green is going to come in handy this season for gifts, heating bills, parties and other expenses that come with surviving the last part of the year. So make a date with friends, SO, family or yourself and purchase tickets for Thursday night with Emily – only $16 in advance, $18 at the door. Or go all out with a $60 VIP cabaret table for two that includes seats right by the action and drink tickets.

Then mix up your weekend usual with Charles Craig on Friday (6 and 8:15 p.m.) or Saturday night (7 and 9:15 p.m.) for only $14 a ticket in advance or $16 at the door. The $60 VIP cabaret table for two is available for this show also.

With these affordable ticket prices you’ll have enough left over for a drink or two from the bar inside The Jazz Room.
