There’s been a buzz about Potbelly Sandwich Shop in uptown for a while now.

With lines often wrapping around the building during peak hours, it should be no surprise that this joint dishes out some killer grub. Sandwiches are hearty and unique, requiring big appetites and extra napkins.

Fans of these ridiculously good, toasty sandwiches will often order from their underground menu. That’s right folks, every Potbelly location has a secret menu of ten dreamy sandwiches and three delicious desserts that are only available to those who know what to ask for. Potbelly started this secret menu to give loyal customers something new to try on a daily basis.

Don’t fret, we’ve got you covered. Here is a detailed description of that hush-hush menu for your feasting pleasure. You’re welcome.

Wrecking Ball

If you like their “A Wreck Sandwich”, this version takes it to new levels by adding meatballs. Turkey, ham, roast beef, salami and meatballs covered in Swiss cheese, lettuce, tomato and mayonnaise.

Lucky 7

Potbelly’s “A Wreck” combined with “An Italian” — all you’d ever want jam-packed into one sandwich. Ham, turkey, roast beef, salami, pepperoni, capicola, and mortadella topped with provolone and just about every topping on the menu.

Black & Bleu:

The name says it all: Roast beef, bleu cheese, lettuce and tomato.

Meatballs, cheddar, mayo, mustard, lettuce, tomato, and pickles — we also “made it hot” by added Potbelly’s signature hot pepper mix.

The Clubby

Party in the club, we’re getting tasty. Turkey, ham, bacon, provolone and ranch dressing.

Toasty Turkey BLT

Exactly like their regular BLT, but with toasted turkey breast.

A little bit of this, a little bit of that… and a whole lot of flavor. Meatballs, cheddar, chili and hot peppers.

Chicken Cordon Bleu

It’s the simplest things in life that make life great. Grilled chicken, ham and Swiss cheese.

A Wreck (salami, roast beef, turkey, ham and Swiss cheese) plus Nueske’s bacon, meatballs, mayo, lettuce and tomato.

The Italian (capicola, mortadella, pepperoni, and salami) plus meatballs, mushrooms, marinara, provolone and hot peppers.

Cookie Collision Shake

Vanilla ice cream, Oreo crumble, short bread cookies swirled into one delicious milkshake plus miniature cookie garnishes.

Ice Cream Sandwich

Your choice of chocolate, sugar, brownie, or oatmeal-chocolate-chip cookies loaded with vanilla ice cream smashed in the middle.

Dream Bar Sundae

For the record, their Dream Bar (a cookie bar made with brown sugar, nuts, coconut and oatmeal) is a dream in itself. This sundae is a warmed Dream Bar topped with vanilla ice cream and chocolate syrup.

Charlotte’s Potbelly Sandwich Shop is a franchise owned by three compassionate Charlotteans: Vic Patel, Shak Patel and Chirag Patel. Their love for Charlotte is proudly displayed throughout the eatery, as every piece of décor has a meaning behind it along with a story.

A few of our favorites include the customized Charlotte skyline bench, original Hornets logo tables, and a copy of the Charlotte Observer’s Super Bowl Newspaper displayed with Potbelly owners’ tickets to the game in San Francisco. The owners have plans for a total of four shops in Charlotte: Uptown, Southpark, (set to open the first quarter of 2018 in the Piedmont Town Center Shopping Center), Ballantyne and one additional location that they are still deciding.
