Calling all Harry Potter fanatics, Star Wars fans, and Netflix bingers.

If you follow any sort of fandom, then you know Charlotte is a city of nerds. Every week, there’s a new trivia night or paint-and-sip where you can let your freak flag fly. These are just a few of the upcoming events where your obsession will be appreciated.

(1) “The Office” trivia night

Feb. 6, 7 p.m., Free

Lucky Dog Bark & Brew and Legion Brewing

Love having dogs in the office? You’re in luck. For their first-ever trivia night, Lucky Dog Bark & Brew is opening its doors to all Dunder Mifflin aficionados and their pets. Find a similar event across town at Legion Brewing; they’re hosting a team trivia event reminiscent of Season 2, Episode 3. Cue the doves.

(2) Muggles Market Too

Feb. 9, 10 a.m.-4 p.m., Free-$2

Queens University Sports Complex

Part of Con-Tagion, a sold-out convention for nerdy creatives, Muggles Market Too is a marketplace that’s open to the public. It bills itself as a “real life Etsy for geeks.” Shop handmade items from more than 30 makers representing all fandoms — not just Harry Potter. For entry, bring a canned good for the food drive or a $2 donation.

(3) Potions & Pixels

Feb. 14, 7 p.m.-midnight, $8

Petra’s

Love is in the air at Petra’s. Love for all things gaming. Board games, video games, virtual reality—there’ll be a ton of options. While swooning over a retro find, munch on desserts from Sumosa’s Cakery, which in true Valentine’s Day fashion will be a selection of chocolate-dipped strawberries, heart-shaped pixel cookies, and red velvet and vanilla cupcakes.

(4) “Friends”-themed trivia

Feb. 21, 7-10 p.m., Free

Tin Roof Charlotte

If you’ve been binging “Friends” on Netflix for the past four years — yes, four years — this is your moment: You can win up to $200 at Tin Roof during their upcoming trivia night. Questions will be about characters and story lines, so prep by, well, watching all 236 episodes all over again. First place wins a $200 gift card, second place wins a $25 gift card, and third place wins a $25 gift card.

(5) May the Funk Be With You

Feb. 23, Noon-6 p.m., $10

NoDa Brewing Company

Courtesy of NoDa Brewing

Snag a Boba Brett glass during this event at NoDa Brewing Company’s original North Davidson Street location. The brewery’s resident Jedi will be pouring a surprise sour brew and unveiling never-before-seen sour classics (14 in total, plus two seltzers). Beer nerds and not-so-subtle nods to George Lucas’ epic space saga? What a time to be alive.

(6) Off with Your Radiohead

Feb. 23, 8 p.m., Free-$10

The Fillmore Charlotte

This tribute band is more than “Creep” on repeat. Hard-core fans will be pleased to know they’ll be selecting classics from Radiohead’s entire discography. Follow the Fillmore on Facebook to snag free tickets.

(7) “Parks and Rec” Trivia

Feb. 27, 7-9 p.m., Free

Lenny Boy Brewing Co.

It’s a Pawnee versus Eagleton faceoff at Lenny Boy Brewing Co. Flex your knowledge of local municipal government, or at least Leslie Knope’s version of it, while vying for the brewery’s first-, second-, and third-place prizes: a $40 gift card, two crowler fills, or a flight. Can’t make it? There’s a similar event at World of Beer on March 6.

(8) Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets in Concert

March 8, 8 p.m.; March 9, 2 p.m., $55-80

Ovens Auditorium

Courtesy of Charlotte Regional Visitors Authority

Cheer on your favorite boy wizard as he conquers (spoiler) teenage Voldemort. The Charlotte Symphony Orchestra will be resurrecting John Williams’ iconic score as the film plays on screen at Ovens Auditorium. Larger-than-life basilisks have never been so … melodic.

(9) Wizard Fest Charlotte

March 22, 8 p.m., $15 advance, $20 day of

Neighborhood Theatre

The Hogwarts Express was supposed to depart in October for this event, but unfortunately (or fortunately), the event was delayed. In March, don your best magical attire for an evening of costume contests, Harry Potter trivia, and something called “Quidditch Pong.” In total Yule Ball style, Wizard Fest will feature a DJ and dance party as well as Potter-themed drinks.

(10) Star Wars: A New Hope in Concert

April 5-6, 7:30 p.m.

Belk Theater

Watch the suns rise over Tatooine to the tune of the Charlotte Symphony Orchestra. They’ll play the Oscar-winning John Williams score in Belk Theater as Luke Skywalker learns the ways of the Force on screen. Yes, it’s “The Imperial March” live in concert, but try not to get all Force-choked up.
