Nothing beats a hot cup of coffee first thing in the morning… well, maybe a free hot cup of coffee first thing in the morning.

From Nov. 27 through Dec. 2, you can get a complimentary cup o’ java from select local coffee shops when you download Cloosiv on your iPhone and place your order through the app.

Using Cloosiv is kind of like using the Starbucks app – except Cloosiv’s eventual goal is for the app to be utilized for purchases at all Charlotte-based coffee shops (not to mention other local businesses, including retail stores, restaurants and breweries).

As part of Cloosiv’s Beta Coffee Tour, you’ll be able to get the coffee you crave without waiting in line, and your cup of joe will be free.

“It helps users buy goods and services no matter where they are,” says Tim Griffin, founder and CEO of Cloosiv. “From a coffee shop perspective, it really defines the quick-serve market: the ability to order and pick up your coffee without having to face the morning line.”

The plan is for the app to expand into retail stores and restaurants. But before you get too excited about scanning retail barcodes or restaurant receipts (and leaving that not-so-seductive credit card dance behind), see below to find out where you can get your free cup of coffee during Cloosiv’s Beta Coffee Tour.
