Cookie Dough Bliss, the gourmet edible cookie dough bar based in Concord and with locations in Waxhaw and SouthPark, has announced its latest expansion: It’s coming to South End.

Residents of The Penrose, a 350-unit luxury multifamily community at 327 W. Tremont Ave., will simply have to walk downstairs starting this summer to get their sweets fix. Cookie Dough Bliss serves more than 20 flavors. Get scoops in waffle cones, cookie dough pie, cookie dough pops or cookie dough ice cream sandwiches. Vegan and gluten-free options are available as well.

Next door to Cookie Dough Bliss will be Callie’s Hot Little Biscuit, also opening this summer. Callie’s will include a full coffee bar with Charleston’s King Bean Coffee and retail space for the Callie’s line of frozen biscuits, pimento cheese and other products.

With a neighbor like that and a location in walking distance of the Rail Trail, summer nights may have just been made.

Cookie Dough Bliss will occupy 1,381 square feet at The Penrose. “Cookie Dough Bliss is another independent concept that will delight the residents of The Penrose while complementing the retail and restaurants of South End,” said James Craig of Lat Purser & Associates. Lat Purser brokered the deal.

In addition to Charlotte-area spots, Cookie Dough Bliss has locations in Louisiana and Minnesota, with additional stores opening in Florida and Tennessee.
