Walk through Uptown on most weeknights after the traffic dies down and you’ll notice something—or a lack of something. There’s rarely much activity around Uptown. In other cities (particularly those with happy hour) the bars and restaurants around the working center of the city are buzzing with activity once the closing bell rings.
Coco and the Director gives you a new reason to stay (or come) to Uptown to hang out. Not only is it one of the coziest places to grab a seat, but the eye-catching staircase also hosts numerous events perfect for unwinding.
Monthly events include Throwback Thursday Movie Night (first and third Thursdays from 5:30 to 7 p.m.) and Wine & Color Wednesday (second and fourth Wednesdays from 5 to 8 p.m.). For Throwback Thursday, Coco and the Director shows old-time favorites and classic films on its big screen, free popcorn included. Color out your stress on Wednesdays (wine is good for the stress, too). Submit your page of coloring for a chance to win free coffee for week. On Wine & Color Wednesdays, select glasses of wine are $5 and pastries are half-off.
Tomorrow night drop by for Final-E Friday, live acoustic music by Erin + Matt. The music kicks off at 5:30 p.m. Grab some local tall boys for $4 and chill—you deserve it.
