Cantina 1511’s new Uptown location has FREE entertainment 7 nights a week. Here’s the lineup.

This post is brought to you in partnership with Cantina 1511 All opinions are our own.

Cantina 1511 has been on the Charlotte food scene since 2004 and with three locations, getting your authentic Mexican food fix is never far away. And now, its new Uptown location on North College Street offers FREE entertainment seven nights a week, with FREE parking after 5 p.m. in the Hearst Tower. That’s a lot of free!

That means you and the crew can hit the town every night of the week and still have enough clams left to keep up with your online shopping habits. From comedians to salsa dancing, Cantina 1511 has your Monday through Sunday covered.

And there’s NO WAY they forgot about Cinco de Mayo. The spring celebration falls on a Saturday and the good people at Cantina 1511 are ready to live la vida loca with you. They can’t wait so they’ve started the party early with $3.50 Dos Equis all April long.

While the Countdown to Cinco de Mayo is on, here’s how you can have fun every night of the week at Cantina 1511 in Uptown without breaking the bank.

Monday – Comedia Cantina
7 – 10 p.m.
Before Comedia Cantina, the first day of the work week was not a laughing matter. After Comedia Cantina hosted by Julio Hennessey, Mondays are hysterical. Enjoy a beverage and some freshly prepared Mexican fare and let these laugh leaders cure your case of the Mondays.

Tuesday – Uptown Karaoke
7 – 10 p.m.
If “Billie Jean” by Michael Jackson is your go-to karaoke song, you are in good company – it is one of the top requested tunes. Head to Cantina Uptown on Tuesdays to belt out this crowd pleasing hit or knock out your tried and true favorite. Need some encouragement? House margaritas are $5 on Tuesdays. Done.

Wondering where you can find the hottest game of trivia in the city? You guess it, Cantina 1511 Uptown. See, you ARE a trivia genius. Continue your winning streak every Wednesday with E-NUFF trivia with Julio Hennessey. I hear comedy and prizes are involved.

Friday – Cantina Unplugged

There’s a different artist every week and the menu has something for everyone so even that friend (you know the one) will be happy. Plus Cantina 1511 Uptown offers FREE parking in the Hearst Tower seven days a week after 5 p.m. Simply bring in your ticket to Cantina and receive a magic validation stamp to get you out of the deck and on your way.

Saturday – Salsa
10 p.m. – 2 a.m.
Salsa Saturday is the perfect party at a beautiful location. Dance the night away to live latin jazz  from 9 a.m. – midnight, then jam out with a DJ until 2 a.m. Plus your favorite flavorful dish and cool beverage are only an order away. Salsa  Saturday will definitely spice up your weekend routine. Perfect for date night or meet up with friends.

Sunday – Tosco Music
1 – 4 p.m.
Sunday is technically still the weekend and another opportunity to pack in some fun. Celebrate the fact that in just five days another weekend will be here and jam out with Tosco Music performers at Cantina. Tosco is a not for profit local organization on a mission to expand the Queen City’s music scene. Pretty cool, huh? Supporting local musicians (and your love of stellar food) has never been easier.

Enjoy Uptown at Cantina 1511 — the perfect way to have a great time on the cheap. Consider all this FREE entertainment your warm up to Cinco de Mayo where you know Cantina 1511 is going to do it right.
