Dine on Bonterra’s patio in the cool autumn air

This article is brought to you in partnership with Bonterra. All opinions are our own.

With cool autumn weather just around the corner, eating outdoors is becoming seriously attractive. At Bonterra, you can enjoy your food with a perfectly-paired wine, while checking out some of Charlotte’s best scenery.

Not sure what to get? No problem. We compiled a short list of the scrumptious options available from Bonterra’s “Food for Wine” menu.

Cheese boards for two or four

Whether you’re looking for a good spot for a date, or bringing a crew of friends for an after-work hangout, there’s nothing better than a cheese plate with just the right wine. Served with house-made crostini, Bonterra’s cheese boards feature Humboldt Fog, Farmstead brie, Sonia’s Pimento Cheese and manchego.

It’s the perfect size for munching and relaxing as you wind down at the end of a long day.

Charcuterie, anyone?

Of course, some of us enjoy our cheese and wine with a little meat on the side. Cheese and charcuterie plates are also available for two or four guests at Bonterra, with Tartufo salami, Benton’s country ham, pâté maison, bread and butter pickles and Lusty Monk mustard.

Though the dishes typically come with house-made crostini, gluten-free crackers are available on request.

Olive confit

Spicy and delicious, Bonterra’s olive confit is specially imported and contains a variety of olive types. Niçoise, Gaeta, and Cerignola all make an appearance. Ranging from buttery and fruity, to nutty and firm-textured, these olives combine for a fragrant dish that can be paired with select wines.

Selecting your wine

You would be hard-pressed to find a better locale for wine than an outdoor patio on a cool day. More importantly, you’d be hard-pressed to find a better location to select that glass of wine than Bonterra.

Bonterra’s Wine Bar features more than 200 wines by the glass, an amount that is unheard of in Charlotte and is rarely seen across the country! French and American wines are offered alongside Spanish and Italian wines on Bonterra’s wine menu, which offers numerous award-winning vintages.

Even better, the staff at Bonterra are trained to help you pair your wine with the food you love. They will find the perfect wine to match your meal, taking the flavor profile of your food to new heights. Grab a friend, grab a glass, and come to Bonterra to enjoy the lovely weather while it lasts.
