European-inspired Bar Marcel is coming to SouthPark in early 2019 from the owners of Vivace

This post is brought to you in partnership with Morrison at SouthPark. All opinions are our own.

International cuisine is Morrison at SouthPark‘s specialty. From the tastes of Latin American street fare at Sabor to the flavors of ancient Indian spices at Tandur, Charlotteans can travel the globe, all in one spot. And in early 2019, Charlotteans can add Europe to their list of dining destinations at Morrison.

Bar Marcel, set to open in early 2019, will be Morrison’s European dining experience.

The 3,900-square-foot restaurant will open at 3920 Sharon Road, Suite 160, in the heart of Morrison at SouthPark. It will feature seating for 130 people — 90 inside and 40 on the patio.

At Bar Marcel, the cuisine is Italian-inspired with Spanish and French influences. Guests will experience dishes such as Duck Liver Mousse with poached pear, frisée, balsamic and rye toast; Seared Scallops with charred beets, potatoes, fennel and frisée; and a variety of authentic large pasta plates.

As for drinks, guests will have the option of Italian craft cocktails and an impressive list of beer offerings. Offerings include local craft brews as well as imported Italian craft beers.

An Urban Food Group restaurant, Bar Marcel is owned by the same company of the Charlotte favorite, Vivace — in addition to other restaurants including Coquette and Chow in Raleigh, as well as Avelina in Denver, Colorado.
