So much to do in Charlotte, so little time. And if you didn’t Instagram it, it never happened, right?
Certain locations around town get so much Instagram love that they’ve become clichés on our social media feeds. I like it though. It shows our (mildly obsessive) love for the city.
And the eight most cliché spots for Instagram photos in Charlotte are:
For glamour shots, couples holding cocktails and carefully planned yoga poses.
222 S. Caldwell St.
(2) The Matheson bridge
For headshots, artsy skyline angles and documenting shifts in weather.
Approximately 300 Matheson Ave.
(3) City Lights Rooftop
For glass-clinking Boomerangs and dramatic shots of popsicles in Prosecco.
555 S. McDowell St.
(4) The Disco Chicken
Technically known as The Firebird in front of the Bechtler Museum of Modern Art. For touristy “Holy wow I’m in Uptown Charlotte!” photos, cute group shots and self-reflection vibes.
420 S. Tryon St.
(5) Romare Bearden Park
For sweeping, wonder-filled views of the skyline, engagements, family portraits and prom pics.
300 S. Church St.
(6) The Magic Carpet Murals on the Charlotte Rail Trail
For funky fitness photos, puppy pics and business promos.
Various places on the Charlotte Rail Trail.
(7) Freedom Park
For contemplative sunrise shots, pictures of kids playing and serene water scenes.
1900 East Blvd.
(8) BB&T Ballpark facing the skyline
For capturing the epic sunset and a jolly good time with your pals.
324 S. Mint St.
Now, which filter to choose?
