Who: Matt Comer has a passion for telling people’s stories and being an advocate for the LGBTQ community in Charlotte.

Matt Comer

As a previous editor of QNotes, his current role is Media & Marketing Coordinator for the Charlotte Pride Festival & Parade.

What: The two-day event presents programs, projects and activities that promote and educate the LGBTQ community in the Queen City. This year’s program will occur on Aug. 26-27.

Matt joined us on this week’s podcast to talk about Charlotte Pride, which has a focus of being more than just a party.

“Charlotte Pride can be a lot of different things,” says Comer. “It’s about community education. It’s about networking. It’s our single largest fundraiser that goes into supporting our year round programs including our youth scholarship program.”
