Outdoor enthusiasts and music lovers unite at this three-day festival celebrating the great outdoors. Over 20 outdoor competitions and awesome live music from The Revivalists (Friday), Anderson East (Saturday), Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats (Sunday) and more make it a must for athletes and spectators alike.

Lace up your corsets and wind your pocket watches for Science on the Rocks: Steampunk Soiree. Enjoy adult beverages whilst relishing in Steampunk-style artistry, science fiction and technology. Put your innovation skills to the test at the Junkyard Challenge, strike a pose in your best 19th century costume at the photo booth, interact with Victorian-era performers and more.

Charlotte Jazz Festival is bringing a week’s worth of performances and events from acclaimed jazz musicians to the Levine Center and Romare Bearden Park. Check out the mix of free and paid shows, including Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra with Wynton Marsalis.
Saturday, April 22, 7-10 p.m. $24. Meet at 2921 N. Tryon St. at 7 p.m.
Get picked up at NoDa’s North Tryon location and taken to the North Davidson NoDa location for a private night of Shakespeare-inspired drama. In 24 hours six playwrights, six directors and 24 actors will put together six original short Shakespeare themed plays. Proceeds benefit 2017-2018 Chickspeare educational programs.
